Amanda Hutcheson did not come to real estate through a traditional path. She is quick to challenge the myth that all agents are rich. “A lot of people think we are rich. But we are not all rich. I am a mum. I have seven children and eight grandchildren. Her advice to sellers is practical and compassionate. “Less is more. But you still have to live there.” Amanda pushes back against the idea that sellers need to strip their homes of everything personal. “It is still your home. You have got to be able to live in it.”

One of her proudest moments was when a young couple told her she had made such an impression on them that they did not even worry about going to other companies. Another was helping a client who had put in nine other offers elsewhere finally find the right property and buy it through Amanda.

Outside of real estate, Amanda’s world revolves around her family. Camping, the water, nature and especially her grandchildren. “I am very, very close with my family.”

If she could list a property for any celebrity, Amanda’s answer is deeply personal. “Rather than a celebrity, it would be my nana, just so I could talk to her again. She passed away when I was pregnant with my third child, and I never got the opportunity to tell her. There are moments when I really wish I could share things with her, just to have a chat and sneak in a hug.”
