Eden Lloyd - Local Roots, Lasting Results

30 May 2026

Eden Lloyd never set out to be a real estate agent. When she and her partner were looking to buy their first home, real estate was the furthest thing from her mind. But after the purchase, their agent reached out and suggested she consider joining the industry. At first, Eden was not sure it was her thing. But she thought, why not give it a go and see where it takes her?

What started as curiosity quickly grew into a genuine passion. Helping people buy their first home is incredibly rewarding, but being a local makes it even more special. “Supporting members of our own community to step onto the property ladder and build their future right here at home gives my work real meaning. It is not just about property. It is about people and community growth.”

At Arizto, Eden found a platform that matched her values. “What I love most is how streamlined and transparent everything is. The technology and app-based systems mean I have instant access to agent details, property information and market insights, all in one place.” It allows her to work efficiently, stay organised and provide clients with accurate, real-time information. “It takes away unnecessary stress and keeps the focus where it belongs: on achieving the best result for my clients.”

If she could give advice to her younger self, Eden would say trust the process and back your instincts. “Real estate has its highs and lows, and not every deal will come together the way you hope. But if you stay consistent, honest and client-focused, the results will come. Patience and resilience are just as important as knowledge.”

Honesty is at the core of how Eden works. She acknowledges that in an industry where overpricing can be used to win listings, transparency can sometimes feel like a disadvantage. But she firmly believes it delivers better long-term outcomes. “With Arizto’s data-driven appraisals and evidence-based pricing strategies, I can confidently present facts and comparable sales to support my recommendations. It gives my clients clarity and realistic expectations, which ultimately leads to stronger results and less time wasted.”

For Eden, trust is everything. “Clients want to know their agent is acting in their best interest, giving them genuine advice and guiding them with integrity. When clients trust you to do the right thing, the process becomes smoother and far more successful.”

She is keen to challenge the myth that agents are only focused on the sale. “For many of us, it is about relationships and long-term trust.” And the idea that higher commission always equals better service? “What truly matters is communication, strategy and commitment, not just the fee structure.”

Her advice to sellers is personal and practical: choose an agent you genuinely feel comfortable with. “Selling your home is personal. You need someone you trust, someone who understands you and someone who will represent your property with the same care you would.”

Eden works in Kawerau, a town she describes as an incredible place to buy property. Centrally located between larger centres, it offers a relaxed, community-focused lifestyle close to beautiful beaches, lakes, fishing spots and hiking areas. “It is a town where life moves at a comfortable pace, not overwhelmed by city life but still modern and evolving.” With solid homes available under $450,000 and commuting distance to Whakatane, Rotorua and Tauranga, the area offers outstanding value.

One of Eden’s most meaningful experiences was working with buyers who had missed out on several properties. Each time was disappointing, but they stayed focused and kept refining their approach. “When they finally secured their home, the emotion and relief were incredible. Knowing I played a part in helping them not give up is something I will always value.”

The biggest lesson she has learned? “Everything will be okay in the end.” Some clients find their dream home on the first attempt. Others face setbacks. “Each journey is different, and it is important to adapt to each person’s needs. Real estate is not just business. It is emotional. Showing compassion and understanding makes all the difference.”

Outside of real estate, Eden’s greatest passion is her children. She is a proud mum who loves being involved in the community through sport and recreation, encouraging local tamariki to push themselves and grow in confidence. You will find her on the sidelines of a court or field, sometimes refereeing, sometimes playing. She also loves spending time with her whanau and occasionally starting DIY projects that her husband usually has to finish.

Eden Lloyd is proof that real estate is at its best when it is rooted in community, honesty and genuine care. In Kawerau, she is not just helping people buy and sell homes. She is helping her community grow, one family at a time.
