Real, Relatable and Results-Driven in Rotorua

Bev and Jason Waller's real estate partnership didn't start in a boardroom; it began at open
homes.

Bev first entered the real estate world through property management before moving into
business development. Her innate talent for building strong relationships quickly shone through,
leading her employer to encourage her transition into sales, a move she embraced fully. Jason's
entry into the industry was a natural progression. After two years of supporting Bev by attending
open homes, and seeking a change from the building industry, he officially joined her. Their
initial support arrangement swiftly evolved into a full, complementary partnership. Today, they
function as a seamless team, offering clients a potent combination of diverse strengths and a
mutual, dedicated work ethic.

For Bev and Jason, joining Arizto marked a significant shift, not just operationally but personally.
Bev speaks openly about how the flexibility of working from home and stepping away from
traditional office environments has transformed her mindset. Without the distractions and
pressures of weekly meetings and paper-heavy systems, she feels more focused and energised
to take on the challenges of the job.

Jason values autonomy just as much. Arizto gives them both the freedom to build their business
without micromanagement, supported by systems that streamline processes and remove
wasted time. Arizto’s digital and tech platforms allow them to operate efficiently while keeping
everything clear and tidy for vendors and buyers alike. The result is a modern, fair model where
vendors benefit from transparent commission structures and strong marketing, while still
achieving outstanding results.
“We still strive for the best possible price,” Jason explained, “but
we leave more money in our vendors’ pockets.”

In today’s market, Bev believes different clients prioritise different things. However, local
knowledge, trust and personality consistently rise to the top. Having two agents at the table
often provides reassurance and clients feel supported, heard and understood. Jason adds that
communication and honesty are what they are most frequently complimented on, and
something they refuse to compromise. His background as a tradesman has shaped a
straightforward, say-it-how-it-is approach that many clients appreciate.
One of the biggest myths they encounter is the idea that all agents are ‘sleazy’ or self-serving.
“We’re often told how normal and relatable we are, ” said Bev with a smile. “Real estate is about
building relationships, not making new best friends, but doing the job you are engaged to do
with kindness and an open heart.”

Their advice to those preparing to sell is clear: presentation matters enormously. A home should
be clean, decluttered and depersonalised so buyers can imagine themselves living there. Jason
puts simply, presentation is key and any negatives should be balanced thoughtfully with
positives.

Some of their most memorable successes reflect more than negotiation skills. They reflect
character. Bev recalls listing a property for a vendor who was relocating back to the UK.
Knowing she was nervous about the process, they organised a VIP open home for qualified
buyers and even invited neighbours through. Thanks to Arizto’s seamless digital systems and
the advantage of being a two-person team, Bev was able to negotiate an offer during the open
home itself while Jason continued hosting. The property went under contract before officially
hitting the market and ultimately achieved a price above expectations.

Bev and Jason's commitment to their clients goes beyond the typical real estate transaction. A
clear example of their dedication involves an elderly couple on moving day when their removal
company failed to arrive. Instead of letting the couple face this overwhelming situation alone,
Bev and Jason immediately stepped in. They quickly organised their sons, vehicles, and a hired
truck to physically help the couple move into their new home. As Bev reflects,
"The best lesson we’ve learned is to always be kind. You never know what someone is going through.”

Bev and Jason have called Rotorua home since 2009, living in Ngongotaha after relocating from
the UK. They speak about the region with genuine enthusiasm. Rotorua offers lakes, the
Redwoods and easy access to beaches just 45 minutes away. It combines lifestyle and
convenience in a way few regions can. While the market has evolved, with increased housing
developments and more agents entering the industry, they believe the community remains
strong and the fears around change have largely proven unfounded. For them, Rotorua is more
than a place to work. It is a place to live fully.

Beyond property, Bev has recently joined a local pottery group, carving out creative time for
herself. Together they mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters, spending weekly time with
young people and giving back to the community in a meaningful way. Thursdays are dedicated
to their grandson Zack, family time is non-negotiable. Jason enjoys football and above all, time
with his children and grandchildren. Their shared values of family, community and contribution
naturally flow into how they treat clients.

If given the chance to list for a celebrity, Bev would choose Vivienne Westwood, drawn to her
creativity and individuality, while Jason would opt for the late comedian Rik Mayall, imagining
the process would be filled with humour and good energy.

Bev and Jason Waller bring authenticity, experience and partnership to Rotorua real estate.
Their combined backgrounds in property management, business development, building and
trade create a balanced, practical and people-focused approach.

They are not interested in ego or theatrics. They are interested in delivering results,
communicating clearly and standing beside their clients from appraisal to moving day,
sometimes quite literally. In a market that values honesty and connection more than ever, Bev
and Jason offer something refreshingly simple: real people, real service, real results. Just Holla
for Waller!
